The newsletter provides information about the latest news from the Ministry for the Environment. The newsletter will only be sent to you if you subscribe to it.
If you subscribe to the newsletter, personal data in the form of your e-mail address will be processed. Registration for our newsletter takes place in a so-called double opt-in process. This means: You will receive an email after registration asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can improperly register e-mail addresses that are not their own. Registrations for the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with legal requirements. For this purpose, the time of registration and confirmation is saved.
By subscribing to our newsletter, you are agreeing to receive the newsletter and to the above-mentioned procedure. To this extent, we process your data on the basis of your consent in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time ( see General Data Privacy Declaration: Rights of the data subject). You can also delete your address at any time using the "Delete newsletter" form on the website or can unsubscribe from this service via a link at the end of each newsletter. Your personal data will then be automatically and immediately deleted.
We store and use the e-mail address exclusively for the purpose of sending the newsletter. We do not pass on your data to third parties or use it for any other purposes of our own.
For statistical purposes, we evaluate the access figures to the newsletter. Data on click and reading behaviour (access time, newsletter opening, access duration, clicks on articles, etc.) can be transmitted. It is not possible to assign this usage data to the specific recipients of the newsletter. We only receive aggregated evaluations (for example, x people read article y). There is also no profiling. The information is used for technical and editorial improvement of the services. For example, we would like to know what topics interest our readers so that we can respond to your interests.
The statistical surveys and analyses, as well as the logging of the registration process, are carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1) (e) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in conjunction with Section 4 of the Baden-Württemberg State Data Protection Act (LDSG) and, as proof of consent in accordance with Article 7 (1) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in conjunction with Article 5 (1) (b) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
All information that you receive through the newsletter is also publicly available to you elsewhere without subscription to the newsletter and the associated provision of your data. You can access newsletter content on this website directly under Press releases, for example.
When contact is made via the contact form for the Citizens' Officer, the Environmental helpline or the Press Office, the user's details for processing the contact request (name, e-mail address, postal address and telephone number, as well as the content of the message) are processed in accordance with Article 6 (1) (e) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in conjunction with Section 4 of the State Data Protection Act (LDSG).
If you reject all cookies, you will not be able to send messages via the contact form. Under the section on cookies, you will find further general information on the handling of cookies.
We process your data only for the purpose of contacting you and processing your request. You can object to the processing of your data at any time, but it may then not be possible to process your request.
If the expertise of another authority is required for processing, in particular another ministry, an authority of the subordinate area, a district office or a municipality, we will pass the request on to them. In the case of a request that is the responsibility of another ministry, the personal data provided and the content of your request may be handed over to the ministry responsible for further processing. Please let us know if forwarding to another authority is not desired.
After your request has been processed, your data will be deleted again or, in the case of records-related processes, stored in accordance with the applicable regulations on record keeping (see General Data Privacy Declaration).
You can also use other ways of contacting us instead of the electronic contact options (e-mail or contact form).
Friendly Captcha (bot/spam protection)
Our website uses the "Friendly Captcha" service.
This service is offered by Friendly Captcha GmbH, Am Anger 3-5, 82237 Wörthsee, Germany.
Friendly Captcha is an innovative, privacy-friendly protection solution to make it more difficult for automated programs and scripts (so-called "bots") to use our website.
For this purpose, we have integrated a program code from Friendly Captcha into our website for contact forms, for example, so that the visitor's end device can establish a connection to the Friendly Captcha servers in order to receive a puzzle from Friendly Captcha. The visitor's end device solves the puzzle, which takes up certain system resources, and sends the result to our web server, which contacts the Friendly Captcha server via an interface and receives an answer as to whether the puzzle was solved correctly by the end device. Depending on the result, we can apply security rules to requests via our website and thus, for example, either process them or reject them.
- The data is used exclusively for protection against the above-mentioned spam and bots.
- Friendly Captcha does not set or read any cookies on the visitor's end device.
- IP addresses are only stored in hashed form, i.e. one-way encrypted, and do not allow us or Friendly Captcha to draw any conclusions about an individual person.
- If personal data is stored, it is deleted within 30 days.
The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest in protecting our website against abusive access by bots, i.e. spam protection and protection against attacks such as mass requests), Article 6 (1) (f) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Further information on data protection when using Friendly Captcha
When ordering a publication, the data required for processing and dispatch is collected (name, postal address, e-mail for contact). The data is stored and used exclusively for processing orders on the basis of Article 6 (1) (e) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in conjunction with Section 4 of the State Data Protection Act (LDSG).
We send the publications ourselves or via a shipping company on our behalf. For this, we transfer on your data entered in the order form to the shipping company. The data is not passed on to third parties beyond this.
After the request has been fulfilled or answered, your details will be deleted or, in the case of record-related processes, stored in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations on record keeping (see General Data Privacy Declaration).
So that you can order publications, so-called session cookies are used. Session cookies are small pieces of information that a provider stores in your computer's RAM. A randomly generated unique identification number, a so-called session ID, is stored in a session cookie. In addition, a cookie contains information about its origin and the storage period.
These cookies cannot store any other data. The session ID is used to compile your orders in your shopping cart. Session cookies are only stored for the duration of the current visit to our website. They are deleted when you have finished using our website and close the browser. You can only use the shopping cart functionality if you have accepted the technically necessary cookies.
Under the section on cookies, you will find further general information on the handling of cookies.
