Cooperative programmes in environmental protection

Achieving more together: The exchange of knowledge and experience in the environmental and energy fields plays an important role in finding the right solutions to the important issues of our time at the international level. This is why our cooperation with many other countries is of a great importance for us.

The Upper Rhine Conference brings together government and public authorities at the regional and local levels. It provides the institutional framework for sharing information and cooperating with our neighbouring regions in Switzerland and France.

The Four Motors for Europe, a partnership of Baden-Württemberg, Catalonia, Lombardy and Rhône-Alpes, represents the interests of these regions throughout Europe and the world.

The IBK is a cooperative association of states and cantons bordering Lake Constance that have an interest in its preservation. The Environment Commission includes experts from the member regions on energy, climate protection, agriculture, environmental protection and air pollution control.
