European Union

The European Union has a substantial impact on our policy relating to the environment, climate and energy. Here you will find information on support for projects in Baden-Württemberg, the EU Strategy for the Danube Region and the Representation of the State of Baden-Württemberg in Brussels. The State Representation keeps track of current developments and cooperates closely with the Ministry.

EU-Strategy for the Danube Region

The Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector Baden-Württemberg is involved in the EU Strategy for the Danube Region. Our goal is to sustainably improve environmental conditions through the exchange and transfer of knowledge and technology throughout the Danube region.

Funding programs

Through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the ministry supports various projects in Baden-Württemberg. It also accompanies and supports applicants of the Life program, with which the European Commission promotes the further development of the European Union's environmental policy.
