Which personal data is being processed?
If you, as a representative of the press, send us an enquiry or request information, we collect the following information:
- First name, surname
- The press organisation for which you work
- Telephone number (landline and/or mobile)
- An e-mail address
- Address
We have stored the same information if we have added you to our press mailing list as a representative of the press.
On what legal basis is the data processed? Who processes the personal data?
Data processing in the context of press enquiries is carried out in accordance with Article 6(1)(e) GDPR in conjunction with Section 4 State Data Protection Act (LDSG) as it is necessary to answer your enquiry. Your personal data is processed in this context by the employees of the press office. If, in individual cases, answering your enquiry requires the transfer of your personal data to other employees of the Ministry of the Environment or other authorities, the data will be passed on to them.
The inclusion of your contact details in the distribution list for press releases is also based on Article 6(1)(1)(e) GDPR in conjunction with Section 4 State Data Protection Act (LDSG) as informing the public is one of the public duties of the Ministry of the Environment. The personal data collected by us will be deleted if you so wish or as soon as the e-mail address proves to be invalid.
Your data will only be processed for other purposes or forwarded to third parties if the Ministry of the Environment is obliged to do so or if this is legally permissible (see the General Data Privacy Declaration for more details).
