Cooperation with our Danish partners is focused on the topics of district heating supply and renewable energy. As early as the 1970s, Denmark was already pursuing an ambitious expansion programme for a comprehensive district heating supply. The success of this programme is formidable; nearly half of district heating in Denmark is supplied from renewable sources today. The state of Baden-Württemberg communicates closely with colleagues in Denmark.

Delegation tour

In January 2015 Minister of the Environment Franz Untersteller headed a delegation to Denmark in order to discuss, among other topics, water protection in the European context, resource efficiency as well as common objectives in climate protection and in the direction of energy policy with members of the Danish government.
